About the line
What vinyl safety & floor marking tape is for
Vinyl tape is the standard for marking floors because it bends with the surface and shrugs off oil, grease, moisture, solvents and scuffs. Solid colors are 6 mil, striped tape 7 mil, and every roll is 36 yards long in 1, 2, 3 and 4 inch widths.
The colors follow the usual safety code: yellow for caution, red for fire protection, green for first aid and safety equipment, orange for hazards, and black and yellow stripes for physical hazards.
Best for
- Aisle and lane marking in a warehouse
- Marking hazards and safety equipment by color
- Temporary layouts on smooth floors

- Forklift traffic all day: heavy traffic wears vinyl and calls for thicker floor tape

How to use it
Laying floor marking tape
- 1Clean the floor
Sweep and wipe the floor, then let it dry. Dust and moisture are what lift floor tape.
- 2Measure and snap a line
Mark the start and end and snap a chalk line so the tape runs straight.
- 3Lay without stretching
Unroll the tape onto the line without pulling it tight. Stretched vinyl shrinks back and peels.
- 4Press it down
Roll or press the full length firmly, especially the ends and corners.
