I have purchased these before and did not receive packing boxes. These are not protective, and flimsy. It’s hit or miss when you purchase these unfortunately.

None of the boxes in our stack are properly cut, so they don't align correctly and create a crooked box that's nearly impossible to close. Disappointing. We used a some of them (we have to cut them to get them to work), hoping it was just an issue with the first few in the stack, but sadly it's the whole lot.
